Sea transport plays a key role in the transport of Finnish foreign trade. Approximately 90 per cent of the imports and exports of Finland are carried by sea.
Take it by sea
HaminaKotka is the biggest export port in Finnish sea transport, and a significant hub in cargo traffic on the Baltic Sea. The port offers daily ship services to all major seaports in Europe. A fairway with a draught of over 15 metres, more than 70 berths for ships and almost 9 kilometres of quays enable the access of even large ocean-going vessels.
The port infrastructure together with a versatile range of services provides an excellent transport route for the needs of international trade and industry.
