The Port of HaminaKotka arranged one of its annual information meetings in Hamina on 12 October 2023. The meeting was a hybrid meeting, meaning that it was possible to participate in the event on location at office centre Kuorsalo in Hamina or remotely via Teams. Some 60 persons in all participated in the event.
Commercial Director Eija Rossi opened the meeting, and described the traffic situation of the port and presented the results of the recent customer satisfaction survey. She also reminded the participants to subscribe to the newsletters published on the website of Port of HaminaKotka Ltd directly to e-mail.
Petra Cranston, Project Manager, Cruise Business, reviewed the past successful cruise season and the outlook for the coming seasons. According to Petra Cranston, the cruise market is undergoing a thorough change, and much work is done constantly vis-à-vis shipping companies.
Timo Rosendahl, Director, Traffic Operations, described the personnel changes in the Traffic Services department and advised the participants to check the contact details on the website of Port of HaminaKotka Ltd. Maria Kämäräinen, who has recently started in the position of Manager, Security and Rescue, of Port of HaminaKotka Ltd, introduced herself in the meeting.
Technical Manager Esa Paronen told about the investments and projects of the port for 2023 as well as the changes in the gate area in Hamina plus related traffic arrangements.
The maintenance plans of the port and its preparations for the winter were presented by Foreman Topi Vehmaa. He also covered other topical matters in maintenance, such as ensuring the location of the plot connections of fire water.
