According to the current situation, thirteen cruise ships are expected to visit the Kotka-Hamina region, of which 11 calls will be in the Kotka Kantasatama, Mussalo and Hamina port areas. In addition, 2 calls will be placed in the Hamina archipelago taking cruise guests to experience the nature of the eastern Gulf of Finland National Park. The cruise guests will spend a day in on the island, exploring the nature of the eastern Gulf of Finland.
The cruise tourism segment is expected to heal up to the pre-pandemic times also in the Baltic area despite of the global macroeconomic challenges and the on-going geopolitical situation. Up to 20 000 cruise guests and crew members are expected to travel with the ships visiting Port of HaminaKotka to experience the Kotka-Hamina region. The cities Hamina and Kotka, as well as the local entrepreneurs have in close collaboration together with the Port of HaminaKotka co-ordinated a wide range of services that will be offered to the international guests.
The season begins on the Ascension Day May 18th with Fred. Olsen’s Balmoral berthing at the Kotka Kantasatama city center port at 8.00 am in the morning.
